If your original flight had a schedule change by Southwest at some point, call and request a free change. A flight delay would allow a change, but that's unlikely to be posted hours before scheduled departure. WebbA lot of the major US airlines have gotten rid of the traditional stand-by method that we're familiar with. Now it's "confirmed stand-by" resulting in a $50-75 fee.
