WebbI bought a Simpson chubby 2 in best badger, paid good money for it. After 8 months of mostly daily use this brush still sheds like crazy, 5-6 hairs on average. The Stirling SHD shed twice when I got it and that was it. My point is, stay away from paying for the "name" I guess, because this brush in my case is pure garbage.

Interestingly while synthetics don't really break in, I've found that with this one the knot did seem to relax a bit after several uses and splay more easily.
