As general advice for not making your NPCs targets for murder: NPCs need to be useful. An NPC who isn't pulling their weight is luggage, not a person. NPCs can't be too useful. WebThis makes them have to give up their hiding spot and face the pirates since they wont be recieving a bribe and when they land to ransack the town they find the party. You can make it so if they convince the mayor to stop the shady dealings and prepare to co front the pirates. Theyll show up eventually since they stopped getting the bribe.
