It has been like what has been described here in many discussions.. great when it woris 300-500 mbps, upload anywhere between 10-45 mbps. My area seems to be having some work done as part of the big build.. but this has been going on for a month now, with no end in sight ... WebI'm not longer using Home Hub 3000... but When I was using it, I left the whole home wifi enabled (keeps 2.4GHz and 5GHz on the same SSID... and HH3000 manages everything to push devices on the right band).... and I didn't have any issue transferring music to my watch... wifi streaming on my watch was also working fine even when my iPhone was off.
