Once the console server browser is implemented, you'll both be able to use the server browser to join the same lobby. As far as cross-platform parties go, the devs have said this: WebSomething is broken. Many people are complaining that they can’t play with friends. Have everyone log out of the game as well as close the epic store. Open everything back up again and invites should work. We were having this issue when one person would leave our group and we’d try to add another. Above solution worked every time.
